Policies for Artwork
Confirmation
We will confirm your order by e-mail (or phone if you have no email address), giving you
the total payment due, including shipping costs and VA sales tax if applicable, as soon as possible.
(Any unique items that are no longer available will be refunded within 3 days unless I am on vacation.)
Shipping and Handling
Note: it is impossible to calculate reasonable shipping values for all possibilities with the PayPal buttons.
If you get charged too much, I will gladly issue you a refund. In most cases you come out a little bit ahead.
That's okay.
If you order more than 40 lbs. worth of goods, PayPal will undercharge you considerably for shipping
and I will have to recalculate your shipping and ask you for some more. In that case, I won't put your order
through without consulting you.
Domestic shipping and handling: USPS First Class Package, Parcel Post, or UPS with tracking (depending on the weight)
$3.50 minimum charge for the first small print (up to 9" x 12"), $.20 each additional print.
$10.00 for the first large print, $.50 each additional large print.
Framed artwork will be mailed UPS or FedEx ground or US Mail Parcel Post, with tracking*
$15.00 each for framed small prints (up to 9" by 12")
$35.00 each for framed large prints, or you may send me your address and ask me to calculate the actual amount
and I will add $5.00 handling charge.
Foreign shipments will be mailed at cost plus $5.00 handling charge per order.
Please send no money until your order is confirmed!
*Insurance is included on all framed packages and prints over $180 in value.
I will notify you by e-mail when your order has been shipped, including a tracking #.
Normally allow one week for delivery of prints, two to three weeks for delivery of framed prints.
Remember that December - early January orders may take longer.
Please check my vacation schedule.
Large orders and custom frames may take longer; if you are concerned, give me your phone number
and I will let you know if your shipment may be late.
Expedited shipping rates - includes rush service.
(I use first class mail for small prints anyway.)

please call in rush orders: 703-256-7572 extension 3 to save time and to discuss your options; if I don't have the
frame listed, I may have a different frame that's in stock.
I will have to price your rush shipping according to your address; two-day and overnight shipping costs
are very high. Rush shipping is cost plus $5.00 rush charge.

frames not in stock may take longer.

I do not want to over-charge you.
Rush orders - Foreign shipments will be mailed at cost plus $15.00
handling charge per order.
I suggest you send no money until your order is confirmed, but if there is a mistake in my favor, I will be happy
to refund the difference.
Return Policy
Please do not accept badly damaged packages: UPS or USPS will reimburse me for any
damaged items, and I will replace or refund your purchase. (I pack well, so it is worth opening the package in front of the mail
carrier to make sure the item is damaged.) If you choose to accept a damaged package unopened, make sure to note the damage
on the waybill before you sign.
Artwork: If you find that your undamaged artwork is not as described on the website, you may return it in its
original condition within ten days for a full refund. I'm sorry; I cannot afford to pay for your shipping. There is, however, no
"restocking fee."

Policies for Books and Recordings
Confirmation

At that time we will place the item on hold and inform you of the total payment due, including shipping costs.
Shipping and Handling
USPS First Class Package or Media Mail, or UPS (depending on weight and destination). Tracking included. Please allow 2-3 weeks.
Buyer pays $5.00 shipping and handling.
International buyer (outside the US) pays actual shipping plus $3.50 handling.
Buyer may combine orders for reduced shipping fee (add $2.00 per book after the first book or CD, $.25 each for pamphlets and ephemera).
Insurance is included on orders over $100.00. (Oversize, weight, and insurance considerations are included in the price of the book.)
Add $2.15 if you want insurance on orders under $100.00. Gift treatment (giftwrapping, giftcard, and shipment
to a third party) is available @ $5.00 additional per item. Please specify the occasion, and I will choose a suitable paper for
giftwrapping. You may email me the message you want on the card.
If you have specific mailing requests (such as Priority Mail or UPS 2-day service),
please just ask (additional charges may apply).
Payment is expected before items are shipped. If payment is not received within 14 days after confirmation,
we will re-list the item for sale.
Return Policy

Books and Ephemera: A Certificate of Authenticity will be issued with each item autographed by Joyce or Aline Kilmer or F.C. Frieseke,
and with each item that belonged to any of them. Autographs are guaranteed to be authentic or your money will be returned.
Condition is a subjective judgment. If you believe the stated condition of your purchase is not in line with the actual item
as received, please contact CustomerService at risingdove.com by mail or e-mail to negotiate full or partial compensation. Returned items
must be in the same condition in which they were received. All sales final after 30 days.
Payment for all Rising Dove Goods
Virginia residents pay 5% sales tax. I accept checks,
Money Orders, or credit cards using PayPal or Google Checkout.

Packaging
I use eco-friendly packaging; almost all my packaging is either re-used or made
from recycled materials. I never buy plastic packaging, except for the archival bags for unframed note cards. I am careful to pack fragile items safely, but if your package is not beautiful,
please remember that I am saving valuable resources and space in the landfill, and understand.
